Hi,
I have taken your online course and wanted to thank you for publishing it
free of charge. I am divorced 2 years after 23 years of marriage. Although I
have been able to make it through a lot of this with the help of counseling, the
one part of my life that has been lacking is in new friendships. I stumbled
across your course while trying to search online for something to help me find a
singles network. Amazingly enough, through your course I got the courage to
begin a search for a singles type network. I found a website called meetup.com
and was able to begin networking through activities to meet singles as friends
to do fun things with.
So, I am hoping this will eventually get me out of the rut of spending
weekends alone. I have met up with the first group on a small hike. It was fun
but very hot, however I do like the outdoors and it was just nice to meet with
some women who have been struggling thru similar issues.
So thank you once again. I appreciate the energy you have taken to post
this information on the web and will be grateful to this course for helping me
move forward.

Thank you! I subscribed to both the five day
divorce recovery email lessons, and the eight day dating again
lessons. I found them so useful. I was feeling a little
apprehensive about the whole recovery and dating scene, but now I
feel very confident. I have been putting the lessons to work,
and have seen results in a couple of weeks.

Just as you said when I first came to this website in
July, my life has changed for the better. After three years, finding
myself still "Stuck", I attended local divorce support groups, read your
printouts time and time again and began, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PAINFUL AT
FIRST, to attend church related singles events. I find myself
meeting and dating some very worthwhile men and becoming friends with some
very nice women. Each day is better. I thought that at my age, I was
too old to start again but find that I was wrong. I just felt that I
had to thank you and to encourage others to "get out there" because a new
life really does await
you.

Once again I had to acknowledge how insightful and useful your articles
on "Rejection" were to me personally.
I was taking relationship rejections real personally but now understand
it's part of life and EVERYONE goes through it. Now I really feel
"acceptable" as part of the human race. Can't say thank
you enough for how much this series has helped me change my outlook and
feel good about myself. At 50 years old, I was thinking "I
should know all this stuff, my gosh 50 years old!" Chuckle,
like you said, if you haven't experienced it, can be difficult
knowing how to handle it. I now have some tools to assist me
in changing my "performance" rating.

I stumbled upon your sites
by accident. I'm glad I did. I have been separated from my
spouse for about 7 months now and I have progressed as a
"Single" person for the last 3 of those months. I know
now (but have refused to accept) that my relationship has been over and
done for some time now. I have seen the writing on the wall, but
decided to delude myself into thinking that repairing my relationship
would be worth it. It wouldn't be.
After spending about 3 hours on your pages and reading past articles, I
have found a lot of my current thinking and actions discussed by you.
It's wonderful to know that there is a prolific writer on the topic that
is willing to take us "freshly killed" emotionally people and
guide us to place of ponderance where hope and happiness can be
found.
You are right though. I am programmed into thinking that the only
way to be happy, is to be married.
Anyhow....Thanks again....I look forward to the journey.

Dear Harlan,
Hi - I'm Bryan, a newly-divorced single guy looking to
reintegrate myself back into the dating scene.
I've just finished reading the last course of the Dating Again series,
and I just want to let you know I feel better already.
I realize now that I was erroneously trying to rush into finding someone
too quickly to replace the one I'd lost, but now I know where I should
be at. After feeling depressed and not sure what to do, I feel
MUCH better just knowing where to go from here.
I'm very grateful, and want to say thank you. I feel armed to
succeed now, and I will definitely be visiting the message boards to
keep in touch and maybe expand my circle of friends.
